1.1 Information you provide us
When you start using the ‘Aarshabh’ App or the website ‘origin.aarshabh.com’, we ask you to provide certain information as part of the registration or onboarding process, and in the course of your interface with the Aarshabh App or the website origin.aarshabh.com. We will collect this information through various means and in various places through the Aarshabh App or the website origin.aarshabh.com, including account registration/onboarding forms, contact us forms, or when you otherwise interact with Aarshabh including at customer support. If you register, you will need to submit a name associated with your account. You may modify that name through your account settings. You need to provide this information to enable us to provide you with the products/services. Additional information, such as a shop name, billing and payment information (including billing contact name, address, telephone number, credit card information), a telephone number, and/or a physical postal address, may be necessary in order for us to provide a particular products/service. For example, we need a physical postal address if you are buying something on the App/website for delivery. As an Aarshabh seller, if you choose to use our payment service ("Aarshabh Payments"), Aarshabh requires your full name, GST certificate, date of birth, bank account information, photograph, credit card information, and/or other proof of identification in order to verify your identity. For both members (buyers and sellers), Aarshabh requires this information from you in order to provide you with the products/services (including, to verify ownership of an account, to mitigate fraud and abuse, to comply with regulatory obligations, or to complete a transaction as a buyer or seller)
At the time of registration, we ask for the following personal information. Name (First Name, Last Name); Mobile Number; Email ID; Date of Birth; PAN Card.
Pursuant to the products and services consumed by You from time to time, we may explicitly seek additional information including address, payment or banking information, credit/debit card details and any other governmental identification numbers or documents. You may choose to provide such information if you wish to use the products and services provided by the Aarshabh App or the website origin.aarshabh.com.
We will also maintain a record of the information you provide to us when using customer support services.
From time to time, during your use of the Aarshabh App or the website origin.aarshabh.com, Aarshabh may require access to certain additional information such as SMS and contact details. Prior to accessing any such additional information, explicit consent shall be sought from you. Please note that even after consent has been provided by you, we only read transactional or promotional SMS and do not open, access or read any personal SMS.
Certain features may be restricted, unavailable or unusable if you choose not to provide certain information. For example: You would not be able to complete e-commerce transactions involving delivery if you choose to not share a delivery address. Aarshabh may require you to provide PAN details before claiming extra earnings.
1.2 Information created when You use the Aarshabh App or website origin.aarshabh.com
We collect information relating to your use of our website/app through the use of various technologies. This includes transaction details related to your use of our services including the type of products you ordered or the type of services you requested, the payment method, amount and other related transactional and financial information. Further, depending on the extra earnings claimed by you or e-commerce orders placed by you, we may also collect the order details, delivery information etc. Further, when you visit our website/app, we may log certain information such as your IP address, browser type, mobile operating system, manufacturer and model of your mobile device, geolocation, preferred language, access time, and time spent. We will also collect information about the pages you view within our sites and other actions you take while visiting our website/app.
We also maintain some records of users who contact us for support, for the purpose of responding to such queries and other related activities. However, we do not provide this information to any third party without your permission, or utilize the same for any other purposes not set out hereunder.
1.3 Information we collect from Third Parties
We may, on your consent, request certain third parties to provide information about you to further personalize your experience on our website/app, and provide certain services that cannot be accessed by all users of the website/app.
In order to registered yourself as Diamond member, Platinum member, Titanium member or Business Affiliate Partners, you will be required to complete KYC processes which may involve Aarshabh along with its third-party vendors, fetching your KYC data from one or more KYC registries.
If you choose to link and connect your email account with Aarshabh, we may access the said account for the following:
- Provide an insight into your spending pattern(s) to ensure you are aware of your spending and can make wiser decisions basis the same;
- Curate specific products/services for you based on past behaviour.
You can choose to enable us to access one or more of your email accounts by explicitly consenting to each single account separately. Please note that your consent to any of the above is purely voluntary. You can de-link the access to your email any time you wish.
We only read emails related to products/services which are offered on the Aarshabh platform and do not open, read or access any personal e-mails. For further information on how we process email and the security protocol we follow click here.
We may receive additional information about you, such as information to help detect fraud and safety issues, from third party service providers and/or partners, and combine it with information we have about you. We may receive information about you and your activities or about your experiences and interactions from our partner ad networks.
2. How we use the Information we collect
We may use, store and process the information provided by you to (1) improve the products/services offered through our website/App, (2) create and maintain a trusted and safe environment on Aarshabh (such as complying with our legal obligations and compliance with our policies) and (3) provide, personalise, measure and improve our products and services.
The information collected allows us to collect statistics about our website/App usage and effectiveness, personalise the experience for the users of the Aarshabh App / website, as well as to customize our interactions with you and to enhance the scope of the Aarshabh App/website services. The following paragraphs describe in more detail how we use your personal information.
2.1 Providing, understanding and improving products/services offered through the Aarshabh App
Any information provided by you will be used for creating and updating your account and processing your transaction(s) or for any other purposes for which you have granted access to such information to us, based on your interaction with the Aarshabh App.
To complete a financial transaction, we may share financial information (such as credit/debit card details or other payment mode details) provided by you with authorised third-parties financial auditors/institutions, or government authorities involved in fulfilment of the said transactions, if any. This does not include any information collected from e-mails. In connection with a financial transaction, we may also contact you as part of our customer satisfaction surveys or for market research purposes.
We may use the information collected to perform internal operations necessary to provide our products/services, including to troubleshoot software bugs and operational problems, to conduct data analysis, testing and research and to monitor and analyse usage and activity trends. We process this personal information for these purposes given our legitimate interest in improving the App services.
In order to expand the scope of our products/services, we may from time to time, seek additional information from you. Any such collection of additional information and documents shall be subject to an explicit & purpose specific consent sought from all users.
2.2 Safety, security and resolution of issues
We may use your personal information, created as part of products/services availed by you, to ensure that your access and use of products/services is in compliance with our legal obligations (such as anti-money laundering regulations). We may share such information, with our advisors, third party service providers for a seamless experience for you.
We may use the information to create and maintain a safe environment and use the same to detect and prevent fraud, span, abuse, security incidents and other harmful activity.

Aarshabh allows users to use their Aarshabh’s account to log into or access other websites or applications using the Aarshabh access feature. Upon logging in to such third party websites or application using your Aarshabh account, certain information (as set out on Aarshabh access log-in screen) shall be shared with the relevant third party website and application and will be subject to such third party’s terms of use and privacy policy.
During your use of the App/website, you may come across links to third party websites/apps that are not affiliated with Aarshabh. Aarshabh is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those other websites, or for any acts/ omissions by such third parties in the course of your transaction with them.
3. Cookies
We use data collection devices such as “cookie”, etc. on certain parts of the App/website to help analyse the App/website services, user interaction with the App/website, measure promotional effectiveness, and promote trust and safety. For the sake of clarity, “cookies” are small files placed on your device hard-drive/storage that assist us in providing the products/services offered through the App/website. Please be informed that we offer certain features via the App/website that are only available through the use of a “cookie”.
We also use cookies to allow you to enter a particular password less frequently during a session. Cookies also help us obtain information that assists us in curating the products/services more targeted to your interests. 5. Messages from Aarshabh
On occasion, Aarshabh will need to contact you. Primarily, these messages are delivered by email, Aarshabh Messages, or by push notifications for a variety of reasons, including marketing, transactions, advocacy, and service update purposes. If you no longer wish to receive push notifications, you can disable them at device level. You can opt out of receiving marketing communications via email or messages in your account settings or by following the unsubscribe link in any marketing email you receive. To ensure you properly receive notifications, we will need to collect certain information about your device, such as operating system and user identification information. Every account is required to keep a valid email address on file to receive messages. Aarshabh may also contact you by telephone to provide member support or for transaction-related purposes if you request that we call you. Additionally, and with your consent where required by applicable law, Aarshabh may send you an SMS (or similar) message, or reach out to you by telephone, in order to provide you with customer support, for research or feedback, or to provide you with information about products and features that you may find of interest. You can update your contact preferences in your account settings. When you contact a seller using Aarshabh Messages, the feature that allows buyers and sellers to communicate about the products/services, we may share aggregated information about your use of the products/services to sellers, for example if you are a frequent purchaser or a new buyer, so they can provide you with better service and so we improve our App/website.
6. Privacy Questions and Access
If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions regarding our Privacy Policy, we can be reached using the contact information on our “Contact Us” page or at ________________________. In certain cases, you may have the ability to view or edit your personal information online. In the event your information is not accessible online and you wish to obtain a copy of particular information you provided to us, or if you become aware the information is incorrect and you would like us to correct it, please contact us immediately.

8. Buying and Selling
As part of the buying and selling process, Aarshabh will facilitate the sharing of information between the two members involved in the transaction, such as the other Aarshabh member's delivery address, email address, and payment status. This can also involve us sharing your information with some of our third party partners such as our delivery and payment partners to enable us to provide the products/service to you. Such partners will process your personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies. In some instances, while they are subject to Aarshabh’s privacy and security requirements for vendors, these partners, not Aarshabh, are responsible for the protection of personal information under their control. By making a sale or a purchase on Aarshabh, you are directing us to share your information in this way. Since this is an important part of the Services we provide, we need to do this in order to perform our obligations under our Terms of Use. We expect you to respect the privacy of the member whose information you have received. You have a limited license to use that information only for Aarshabh-related communications or for Aarshabh-facilitated transactions. Aarshabh has not granted a license to you to use the information for unauthorised transactions or sending unsolicited commercial messages in violation of any applicable laws, including any consent requirements of the jurisdiction of the recipient. You should only add a member to your email or physical mailing list or otherwise use or store a member’s personal information in accordance with applicable laws, including any consent requirements that apply in that member's jurisdiction.
9. Legal and Safety
Aarshabh may also retain, preserve, or release your personal information to a third party in the following limited circumstances: in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet legitimate national security or law enforcement requirements; to protect, establish, or exercise our legal rights or defend against impending or asserted legal claims, including to collect a debt, or a material violation of our policies (including our Intellectual Property); to comply with a subpoena, court order, legal process, regulation, or other legal requirement; or when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, prevent imminent physical harm or financial loss, or investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, threats to our rights or property, or violations of our Terms of Use. 10. Retention
Aarshabh will retain your information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, for as long as your account is active (i.e., for the lifetime of your Aarshabh member account), or as needed to provide the Services to you. If you no longer want Aarshabh to use your information to provide the Services to you, you may close your account and under such situation, Aarshabh will not be responsible to refund your one time membership fees. Aarshabh will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your information to comply with applicable tax/revenue laws), resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and as otherwise described in this policy. Please note that closing your account may not free up your email address, username, or shop name (if any) for reuse on a new account. We also retain log files for internal analysis purposes. These log files are generally retained for a brief period of time, except in cases where they are used for site safety and security, to improve site functionality, or we are legally obligated to retain them for longer time periods.
